Brock’s Stocks

“Imagine being able to see family whenever you want, work for no one, travel wherever you please, tip 100% on every meal and still have financial freedom. All possible through the great American stock market.“

- Brock Burleigh

My name is Brock Burleigh. I have been trading stocks since 2017. I have always loved a challenge and have a passion for learning.

Investing vs Trading:

  • The first thing I want people to realize is the difference between investing and trading. Investing is buying and holding a particular asset for years or even decades. Investing is the easiest way to create generational wealth and to retire comfortably. Everyone should invest and the best time to start is now. I would recommend either a target date fund, mutual funds, or ETFs. Investing does not need to be difficult, and is not risky when done right.  If you need help on getting started or have questions, I am more than happy to help.

  • Trading on the other hand is buying and selling (in my case) stocks with the goal of buying at a lower price and selling at a higher price. To be successful, you need to be disciplined, manage risk, follow a set of rules, and be able to control your emotions. Unlike investing, trading can be of higher risk, and I would advise people to have patience and do their homework before risking their hard earned dollar. Wall Street often charges some tuition in the learning years. My trading journey is tracked on twitter where I share my thoughts and plans on particular stocks. Feel free to give me a follow @Brocksstocks1, Trading has become my second job and part of my identity where I invest 20+ hours a week studying and planning. I plan for it to become my full time job within two years.

Shoutout:

I would like to give a special thanks to Eli Compton and my family as they are some of the few people that have supported my journey since the beginning.

To Conclude, I would just like to tell everyone that anything is possible, and that a better tomorrow starts with yourself. What you do today paves the way for your future. Find your passion (whatever that may be) and get 1% better each day. The world needs your light and positivity.
